Student’s and Scholarship

Like other Colleges, Nabon Women’s Synod College also encourages it’s students for applying Scholarship awarded by the Central Sector and State Sector of the Government of India. The College brings to the notice of the students when and how to apply the Scholarship and also explicate about the various Awards/Scholarships eligible for them. A few of which are mentioned below:

  • Post Matric Scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India: Post Matric Scholarship is a Central Sector Scheme awarded to the meritorious students from notified minority communities pursuing any course in Government or Private Institute who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
  • Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe Students awarded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India:This scholarship is awarded to students pursuing higher studies in different courses in recognised Colleges/Institutes.
  • Free Studentship Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste: Students who failed in the previous year and also those who are not eligible to apply for Post Matric Scholarship can apply for this Scholarship.
  • Book Grant Scholarship for Scheduled Tribe: Students who secured 60% marks and above during previous year examination are eligible to apply for the Book Grant Scholarship.
  • Border Area Scholarship: Scholarship awarded for students belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe categories of the State of Meghalaya who are pursuing Post Matric Studies within and outside the State.
