Books are a medium in which students use to gather knowledge and learn new things. A person can be transported to the hauntingly beautiful moors in England while reading ‘Wuthering Heights’ or experience the struggles of catching a marlin in ‘The Old Man and the Sea’. In this modern world, books are not the only source of knowledge. Films have been widely considered to be practical effective tools of teaching and learning. Visually, films help the students to retain information for a longer period of time; there is also an increased interest in learning as films are visually appealing. Keeping this in mind, the College has come up with Smart Classes to introduce students to a different medium of learning. Students are shown movies that have been adapted from novels and dramas included in the syllabus, educational films and documentaries to expand their range and depth of understanding their subjects.
