Grievance Redressal Cell has been constituted on the 4th October 2021 in Nabon Women’s Synod College as per the UGC guidelines to redress the grievances of both the staff and the students. Grievance Redressal Cell is a vital part of the College administration. It is the responsibility of the College to provide a secure and contented environment to all its staff and students.
The Grievance Redressal Cell is composed of the Principal as the Chairperson and 5 teaching faculties nominated by the Principal. The Committee therefore is under the direct purview of the Principal.
FUNCTIONS OF THE GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL
The functions of the Committee are to look into the complaints lodged by any students and judge it as per requirement. The Grievance Redressal Committee is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. If there is any genuine grievance students may approach the members of the Grievance Redressal Committee in person or if there is fear of being victimized can drop their complaints in a complaint or suggestion box.
OBJECTIVES:
A Grievances Committee should be constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the students of the College with the following objectives:
- To uphold the dignity of the College by ensuring harmonious atmosphere in the College through promoting cordial relationship among faculty and students.
- To improve the academic functioning of the College.
- To encourage the students to express freely and frankly their problems without any fear of being victimized.
- To advice the students to respect the right and dignity of each other.
- To ensure healthy interpersonal relations among the students and teachers.
- To provide suggestions to overcome the problems.
- To avoid any kind of discrimination.
- To ensure that the staff of the College are responsive, accountable and courteous in dealing with the students.
