Purpose of an alumni programme
One of the main purposes of alumni associations is to support a network of former graduates who will, in turn, help to raise the profile of the College.
Organisational Set up of an Alumni Association
There shall be a President, Vice-president, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer and Four Faculty Members from the College. Principal shall be the Chairperson of the Alumni Association.
Aims and Objectives of Alumni Association
- To keep a list/record of all Alumni of the College.
- Maintaining the updated and current information of all Alumni.
- To encourage, foster and promote close relations among the alumni themselves.
- To promote a sustained sense of belonging to the Alma Mater among the Alumni by being
in regular contact with them.
- To provide and disseminate information regarding their Alma Mater, its graduates,
faculties and students to the Alumni.
- To assist and support the efforts in obtaining funds for development.
- To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their courses of study and
to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to the society.
- To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural and social
issues of the day by organizing and coordinating reunion activities of the Alumni
- To let the alumni acknowledge their gratitude to their Alma Mater.
The Alumni Association achieves these objectives by staging an annual programme of events
and reunions; through communications, by providing a range of discounts and services for
alumni; and by supporting student and other fund raising initiatives.
Outcomes of Alumni
Alumni meet is a gathering of passed out students of an institution and it is a place where the institution feels proud on seeing its successful alumni. Alumni Meet, creates a special bonding between the students who have passed out & who have established themselves already in the big, outside world.
