The Sports and Games Committee was constituted on 6th April 2022. It is designed to serve the interests of the student’s community in competitive sports and other recreational activities, both indoor and outdoor games. The College has an Indoor games room for Chess, Carom board and Table Tennis. The Indoor games room is also the hangout place for students to take a break from academic pursuit and engage in social and communications skills. The College also gives access to students to participate in outdoor games like football, basketball, volleyball, cricket and the indigenous Khasi sports known as Mawpoint. This committee is designed to provide young women aplatformto taptheir talents in various games and sports.
Mission: The Sports andGames Committee was formed to help students improve their emotional, intellectual andbehavioural conduct. It will alsoenhance students in various interpersonal skills such as patience, communication, leadership, punctuality, accountability and teamwork. Some students of the College has excelledin Sports and hasevenrepresented the state, in football and cricket.
Vision: The Sports and Games Committee was formed to allow students to develop their potential in physical and mental well being. Sports opportunities and programmes will enhance their development as athletes as well as contributing members of the society. Sports and Games will encourage students to achieve excellencewithpassion and thereby will givethem a bend of mind to perform well in every aspects of their lives.
